The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has called on Nigerians to keep faith with President Tinubu’s administration as it gears the country towards the entrenchment of democracy and sustainable development.
In a statement by the Special Assistant to the Minister On Media and Communications Strategy , Alkasim Abdulkadir, issued to mark the country’s 63rd independence Day, Tuggar urged Nigerians to use the occasion to reflect on the steady progress being made and see themselves as critical stakeholders of the Nigerian Project.
He urged the citizens to rally support for the attainment of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Ambassador Tuggar also reiterated the commitment of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure the successful realization of President Tinubu’s 4D strategy.
The 4D strategy also known as the Tinubu Doctrine pivots on four pillars, Democracy: fostering political stability, Development -catalyzing economic prosperity, Diaspora: nurturing a global Nigerian community; and demography, harnessing the power of a youthful nation.
He also urged Nigerians to eschew hate and divisiveness that can undermine the country’s unity and progress.
Tuggar further stated that the quest for nation-building is a collective responsibility, and all well-meaning Nigerians at home and abroad must join hands in strengthening the resolve to build a sustainable, prosperous nation that Nigerians irrespective of their socio-cultural and political leanings would be proud of.
