The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) women’s volleyball team has been crowned champions of the 2025 Super Volleyball Championship after defeating the Ghana Air Force 3–0 (25–20, 25–23, 25–14) on Sunday at the Borteyman Sports Complex in Accra, Ghana.
As Nigeria’s sole representatives, the team maintained an unbeaten run throughout the tournament, securing convincing victories over Ghana Navy, Kalibi, Ghana Immigration, and Elwak Wings.
The Head of Sports of the Nigeria Customs Service, Samuel Onikeku, attributed the team’s impressive performance to the substantial investment and unwavering support of the Comptroller General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi.

Onikeku noted that the CGC has continued to provide an enabling environment that allows the players to fully showcase their potential.
He commended the players and technical crew for their commitment and resilience, which ensured Nigeria’s dominance at the championship.
Nigeria also scooped five individual awards at the tournament. Kelechi Genevieve won both the MVP and Best Opposite awards, Maryam Ibrahim was named Best Attacker, Aisha Umar received the Best Server award, Bukky Oluwatosin was voted Best Middle Blocker, while Coach Suleiman Ajeigbe got the award for the Best Coach.
