Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has recorded ₦7.28 trillion in revenue for 2025, exceeding the year’s target of ₦6.5 trillion and marking a growth of over 10 percent compared to expectations.
The figure represents a ₦1.18 trillion increase over the revenue collected in 2024, highlighting the agency’s enhanced performance and improved efficiency in revenue collection.
Officials say the increase reflects stronger enforcement of customs regulations, better trade facilitation, and the adoption of digital processes that have reduced leakages and improved compliance among importers and exporters.
The record revenue demonstrates the critical role of the Nigeria Customs Service in generating funds for government operations, supporting trade, and contributing to economic growth.
Customs authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining this growth by further modernizing procedures, reducing bottlenecks at ports, and expanding digital clearance systems to ensure faster, more efficient processing of goods across the country.
