President Bola Tinubu has approved the posting of four ambassadors-designate, selected from the 68 nominees confirmed by the Senate last December.
The postings include Ambassador Ayodele Oke as Nigeria’s envoy to France, and Lateef Are as ambassador to the United States.
Ambassador Amin Dalhatu, formerly Nigeria’s envoy to South Korea, has been designated as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
According to a statement issued by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga on Thursday, former governor of Kebbi State, Usman Isa Dakingari Suleiman will serve as Nigeria’s ambassador to Turkey.
President Tinubu is scheduled to begin state visit to Turkey next week.
In a memo to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the President instructed that the relevant governments be notified of the ambassadorial postings in line with standard diplomatic procedures
