Civil society organisations and agencies of government have been urged to work together to make the 4 point agenda of the minister of health achievable for the benefit of all.
Health activists made the call during a health sector reform coalition quarterly policy dialogue 2.0 on universal health coverage attainment in Nigeria.
Over the years Nigeria has initiated major health reform programs to strengthen primary health care and improve health financing and governance, but not much has been achieved.
Having unveiled a four-point agenda by the federal ministry of health and social welfare under the leadership of Prof. Ali pate and the minister of state Dr. Tunji Alausa , these health advocates have come together to x-ray the four point agenda.
They called for cooperation and demand for accountability from all stakeholders.
They are optimistic that if the four point agenda is well implemented, the health care sector reforms will be taken to a higher level and health care will be accessible for all Nigerians.
