The National Judicial Council has issued a disclaimer informing retired Judicial Officers to disregard phone calls demanding money from them to fast track the payment of their retirement benefits.
This is contained in a statement issued by the council’s director of information Soji Oye, following a report by Judicial officers that some unscrupulous individuals are demanding payments in order to fast track the processing of their retirement benefits.
The commission wants the general public to be wary of and report such calls to the Pension Department of the Council.
