The National Judicial Council , NJC has Appointed 86 Judicial Officers for Federal & State Courts , issued warning letter to three other judges.
In a statement signed by director of information, Soji Oye on Friday after the 105th Meeting , 22 justices were elevated to the Court of Appeal among which is Justice Olukayode Adeniyi, justice Kwahar Polycarp, justice Nnamdi Dimgba and Justice Eleojo Eneche among others .
Warning letter was issued on Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court for abuse of discretionary power by wrongly granting an ex parte order and also barred from being elevated for a period of two years.
Justice Brikins-Okolosi of Delta State High Court was also issued a warning for failure to deliver judgement within stipulated period and will also not be elevated to a higher Bench for a period of three years.
On the caution list is Justice Amina Shehu of Yobe State High Court for issuing Writ of Possession Conferring Title on a Defendant in Suit when there was no subsisting judgement of any Court .
Thirty five petitions written against Judges of the Federal and State High Courts were also considered, and eight committees set up to further investigate the petitions .
Petition against various Judges were dismissed for lack of merit, evidence of misconduct, subjudice or that they were matters that could be appealed.
