The strike by Judiciary Staff Union Of Nigeria (JUSUN), entered the day 2, with the Court of Appeal, Federal High Court, FCT High Court and some other Courts of cordinate jurisdictions remained closed.
It is not clear how long this action will continue, but sources told ait.live that efforts are being made by the Chief Justice Of Nigeria and the Federal government to meet the demands of the staff Union.
The strike, which began in the early hours June 2, 2025, resulted in the lockout of judges, lawyers, staff, and litigants from accessing the Court.

The Supreme Court and National Judicial Council (NJC) chapters of JUSUN are however not part of the action.
The Union had given the Minister of Labour and other stakeholders two weeks to resolve issues with the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation regarding statutory allocations to the judiciary.
