The Nigeria Labour Congress has fixed Wednesday June 7 for nationwide protest and withdrawal of services over the recent fuel price increase.
President, Joe Ajaero during a briefing at the end of its national executive council meeting insists that it is also illegal to be in negotiation with persons without portfolio as President Tinubu is yet to appoint his cabinet members.

Human rights lawyer and legal adviser to the Nigeria Labour Congress, Femi Falana says the petrol pump price hike by the Nigerian National Peteoleum Company Limited is illegal and will be challenged in the court of law, NNPC Limited on Wednesday announced a new price template increasing the pump price of petrol from 192 naira to a nationwide average of 537 naira per litre following the pronouncement by President Bola Tinubu that the fuel subsidy regime is over.
Meanwhile, the federal government is scheduled to reconvene a meeting with Labour unions on Sunday.
