Bayelsa United Football Club of Yenagoa is the lastest Club to gain promotion to the Nigeria Elite League after the club played seven consecutive seasons in the Nigerian National League.
The prosperity sealed the return to the Nigeria Professional Football League following Saturday’s two nil victory over Cynosure FC to wrap up the season’s top of Ground B 2 of the second tier league with Fourty Four points.
Goals From Striker, Timitimi Ineikade and Robert Mizo were all Bayelsa United needed to complete the victory song that later sparked wide jubilation among supporters and players of the team.

Following the conclusion of the Nigeria National Legaue this weekend, Bayelsa United FC has joined El kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri, Insurance Football Club of Benin and Doman United of Gombe as the Four Clubs that have been promoted to the Nigerian top flight league .
