The Nigerian Navy has arrested suspected and handed over rice smugglers to the Nigerian Customs service.
At the handover ceremony, the Commanding Officer, Nigeria Navy Forward Operating Base , FOB Ibaka, Akwa Ibom state, Navy Captain Mohammed Abu said the navy will not tolerate acts of economic sabotage through the country’s maritime environment.
Chief Superintendent of Customs, Razak Busari commended the Nigerian Navy for the arrest and promised to prosecute the suspects.
The FOB Ibaka under the leadership of Captain Abu has recorded huge successes in combating those engaged in economic sabotage with numerous arrests
