Nigeria Navy boost welfare infrastructure for ratings and officers

The Chief of the Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Ibokette Ekwe-Ibas, has said that the men of the Nigerian Navy should expect better infrastructure to boost their morale.

Rear Admiral Ekwe-Ibas, said this at the commissioning of an arrival hall for ratings at the Nigeria Navy Ship Jubilee, Ikot Abasi in Akwa Ibom state.

The arrival hall for ratings of the Nigerian Navy Ship Jubilee, Ikot Abasi, complete with all modern accommodation, will certainly ease accommodation worries for ratings newly posted to the formation.

Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibokette Ekwe-Ibas, represented by the Fleet Commander, Easter Naval Fleet, Rear Admiral, Perry Onwuzulike, said that the vision was to have improved infrastructure at naval formations across the country.

Earlier, the Commander of NNS Jubilee, Ikot Abasi, Commodore Abdulmajid Ibrahim, stated that the facility was in line with the Chief of the Naval Staff’s vision of infrastructural development.

On the development of NNS Jubilee barracks, the representative of the Navy Chief, pointed out that it was in the strategic plan.

The facility is made up of 36 furnished rooms with modern conveniences, meant to house newly posted ratings, before they secure permanent accommodation.
