Nigeria’s opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kogi State is calling for unity among its members while warning the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, against intimidation and harassment ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The state chapter of the PDP leaders made the remarks during a stakeholders’ meeting in Lokoja, where they pledged to strengthen the opposition and mobilize supporters for the task ahead.
For the first time in months, key political figures in Kogi State’s opposition Peoples Democratic Party gathered to strategize on the party’s future as Nigeria’s 2027 elections approach.
Led by state party leader, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, said they remain determined to rescue the country from decline in government’s responsibility to the people.
The PDP also urged its supporters to participate actively in the ongoing e-registration process, maintaining that its faction remains the legally recognized structure
They also called on Nigerians to remain committed to democracy, expressing confidence that every vote will count in the next election cycle.
