Nigeria records 1,398 new Covid-19 cases with 9 more deaths

Data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, shows that 23 states have reported 1,398 new Covid-19 infections. There are now 103,999 confirmed cases so far across the country.

The states with the new Covid-19 cases include Lagos-542; FCT-131; Oyo-120; Rivers-113; Plateau-111; Kaduna and Kwara-71 each.

Other states with the new Covid-19 cases are Akwa Ibom-34; Sokoto-31; Benue-28; Ogun-27; Kano-26; Kebbi-17; Osun-12; Nasarawa-11; Delta and Gombe-10 each; Bayelsa and Borno-9 each; Edo-8; Ekiti-3; Jigawa and Katsina-2 each

Community recoveries from Covid-19 treatment include Lagos State-317, Kwara State-241 and Plateau State-134 out of 981 patients that were discharged across Nigeria in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 9 persons have died of Covid-19 related complications in Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the national death toll put at 1,373.
