The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC Imo state Command has uncovered an illegal oil dumpsite in Owerri allegedly operated by crude oil thieves in the state.
The State Commandant of the Corps, Micheal Ogar, led a team of his men to the location and seized more than four trailer loads of various petroleum products dumped in the area.
The discovery according to Ogar followed an intelligence report, assisted by the public, on the activities of oil vandals in the state.
He warned those involved in sabotaging the Nation’s economy through oil bunkering and other criminal activities to relocate, pointing that the state will no longer be safe for such illegal businesses.
