The Presidency, agencies and key players have held a meeting to ensure a robust representation at the UN general assembly and COP29.
The special envoy on climate action, Ajuri Ngelale, Energy Transition Office and National Council on Climate Change met in Abuja to compare notes on progress of preparations for a cross governmental engagement set to occur in the days ahead.
He also met with the incoming U.S. Ambassador’ Rick Mills alongside members of U.S. Advisory Council on African Relations.

The special envoy in a statement said discussions also held with lead GEF $100 million project Michael Uwemedimo.
The project which will be launched next year according to the envoy will focus on massive mangrove forest regeneration in the Niger Delta to offset carbon emissions in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme UNDP.
