Nigeria has signed the hosting rights agreement for the 5th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair 2027 (IATF), with former President Olusegun Obasanjo describing the development as a major milestone for both the country and the African continent.
Obasanjo made the remark in Lagos during the signing of the host country agreement for the continental trade event at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Arts and Culture.
The trade fair which is scheduled for November 5 to November 11, 2027, is organised under the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and is expected to serve as a major platform for boosting intra African trade by bringing together governments, businesses, investors and innovators from across the continent.
