Nigeria has signed an agreement with the World Economic Forum, WEF for accession into the Global Activator Network, GAN on Maternal Health.
Minister of Health and Coordinating Minister of Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate signed the pact on behalf of the Nigerian Government with the WEF Managing Director, Jeremy Jurgens, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
In view of the Federal Government’s National Free C-Section Programme for vulnerable women and the National Free VVF Repair Programme, the Minister says Nigeria’s collaboration with the Alliance is one that will leverage global partnership and catalytic resource unlocking to achieve the country’s objective of improving maternal health outcomes.
