Nigeria’s Sports Minister Sunday Dare has assured the rest of Africa that the Nation is ready to host a befitting Continental Athletics Showpiece, at the Famous Teslim Balogun Stadium in the mega city of Lagos from next month June 23rd to the 27th.
At he end of his meeting with the President of the Confederation of Africa Athletics Kalkaba Malboun in Cairo Egypt on Monday, Sunday Dare invited the other 51 Countries to gather in Lagos and train at the Yaba College of Technology ground and the National Stadium in Surulere ahead of the continental events, also a qualifier for the Tokyo Olympics.

Both the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and the Confederation of Africa Athletics say they are fully committed to hosting an excellent Championship after the original host Morocco, suddenly pulled out citing different variants of Covid-19 in the country.
The Championships will provide the needed opportunity for Team Nigeria Athletics and other African countries, to secure more tickets to the Olympic games in Tokyo this July.
The Nigeria Sports Minister says details of the Championships will be unfold in the next few days.
