Nigeria is set to host the African U-18 girls volleyball championship at the MKO Abiola national stadium, Abuja from January 29 to February 7 2021.
The federal ministry of sports has given approval to host the continental tournament.
However the ministry ask that the Nigeria volleyball federation, NVBF to seek corporate sponsorship for the tournament.

This is contained in a press release signed by the permanent secretary, ministry of youths and sports Gabriel Aduda.
Aduda emphasised that the ministry cannot afford to sponsor the continental championship.
Meanwhile, the NVBF is organising an open trials from December 10 to 13 at the Ahmadu Bello stadium, Kaduna to select players.
The NVBF is putting all modalities in place to ensure a hitch free tournament with strict adherence to covid-19 protocols.
