Nigerian Air Force, NAF says it is fast-tracking the acquisition of critical modern air platforms to enhance operational effectiveness across all theatres of operation.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, made this known during the inauguration of new accommodation facilities at the NAF Base in Kaduna.
In a move aimed at strengthening both training capacity and personnel welfare, the Chief of the Air Staff inaugurated six blocks of student pilot accommodation at the 401 Flying Training School, alongside 30 studio-style one-bedroom apartments for instructors and personnel.
The newly completed structures are designed to address long-standing accommodation challenges within the training institution, creating a more conducive environment for pilot development and instructional support.

Air Marshal Aneke described the project as a strategic investment in the future of the Air Force, noting that improved welfare and infrastructure are essential to training more pilots and sustaining operational readiness.
He disclosed that the Service is also expecting the delivery of advanced air platforms by 2027, a development he says will significantly expand the NAF’s air power projection and response capabilities.
The Air Chief urged beneficiaries to maintain the facilities responsibly, emphasising that infrastructure development must be matched with discipline and accountability.
