As Nigeria commemorates her 60th Independence Anniversary, some youths in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital marked the day by displaying a locally made Aircraft which they constructed through joint efforts.

The youths namely Jimoh Ahmed, Abbas Jamiu, Abdullateef Anafi, and Musa Aliyu are Citizens of Nigeria from the Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The youths converged on the entrance of the Government House Banquet Hall, Ahmadu Bello Avenue to showcase their ingenious craft work to the public as the Nation marks diamond jubilee.

They are mostly holders of Senior Secondary Certificates who said their quest for technological innovations spurred them to construct the aircraft.

Spokesperson for the group disclosed that the Construction took the team three years and cost over three million naira.

He appealed for the support of Kwara State Government for sponsorship on Aeronautical engineering with a view to shaping their skills.
