As Nigeria marks its 65th Independence anniversary, the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Niger state chapter, Most Reverend Bulus Yohanna, has called on President Bola Tinubu to make frantic efforts to stabilise the economy by ensuring the full regulation of food prices.
Yohanna who is also the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese, also charged Nigerians to commit the country and her leaders into the hands of God and to seek His intervention for an end to the prevailing insecurity and economic quagmire.

In a statement by his media officer, Daniel Atori, the CAN chairman said, CAN believes the challenges, even though enormous, are surmountable, and by the grace of God, there will be light at the end of the tunnel.
He also charged the President to boost the country’s economy, increase trade, lower food prices, reduce inflation, strengthen the currency, and increase external reserves.
