A female personnel of the Nigerian Air Force, Master Warrant Officer, Elizabeth Titilayo George, serving at 651 Base Services Group, has been found dead in an apparent suicide on Sunday.
An Intelligence source told counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad region, Zagaza Makama that the Air Force personnel was found unresponsive at her residence at Block T5 Flat 8 in Sam Ethnan Air Force Base Ikeja in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria after she hung herself inside her room at about 1400 hours on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

The sources said that she was pronounced dead by 3 Air Provosts who came with another team of personnel to evacuate the body to the 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital.
The sources explained that the cause of her action is not known, adding that an investigation is going on to ascertain the reason for her death.
In a telephone conversation with AIT.live, the NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa also confirmed the incident adding that a board of inquiry has been instituted to ascertain the reason for her action.
