The Nigerian Army says it’s ready to improve on its facilities through adequate provision of infrastructure that will boost the morale and fighting spirit of troops facing the daunting challenges of maintaining peace and security in the country and other support missions.
The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai who stated this at the unveiling of some remodelled training facilities at the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peace Keeping Centre, Jaji says, the army will ensure that the centre secures full recognition at the United Nations in all its courses.
Represented by the commander infantry corps Major General Stevenson Olabanji, the Army chief says the successes recorded by Nigeria in peace support missions will be sustained, through collaboration with other nations as well as improvement on its training facilities at the Martin Luther Agwai International Leadership and Peace Keeping Center.

The commandant of the centre, Major General James Ataguba notes that improving facilities for United Nations’ peace support missions is critical for the training of potential peacekeepers.
The army chief also used the occasion to unveil some remodeled intervention facilities for enhanced training of potential peace keepers at the centre.
