Nigerian Defence Gets New Hqtrs Complex

The Nigerian Defence Headquarters is set to have a new building complex in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja with state-of-the-art facilities for military operations.

Performing the groundbreaking ceremony at Kubwa Expressway, off the Defence Officers Mess,
President Bola Tinubu affirmed his administration’s commitment to building and strengthening the country’s defence capabilities.

The new Defence Complex will be equipped with advanced technology and equipment to combat insurgency as well as boost operational capabilities of the Nigerian military.

President Bola Tinubu said he will ensure that the complex which is expected to host 3,000 personnel, will be completed during his tenure.

The President also thanked the Armed Forces of Nigeria for their relentless effort at ensuring the security of the country’s territorial integrity, pledging his continuous support as the Commander-in-Chief.

Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa said the complex will serve as a centre of excellence and strength.
For the Minister of Defence, Muhammed Abubakar the project when completed will also boost the morale and welfare of officers and men.

After the ground breaking ceremony, President Tinubu proceeded to commission a new Barracks, located off Admiralty Estate, near the Mogadishu Cantonment, popularly known as Abacha Barracks in Asokoro. Abuja.
