The Nigerian government has concluded plans for an innovative security initiative aimed at strengthening the early threat detection and coordinated response.
Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa made the disclosure at a presentation to the Nigeria Governors’ Forum in Abuja on Thursday.
Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma who spoke for the Nigeria Governors’, Forum said the project envisions the phased deployment of advanced technology and infrastructure to improve surveillance, crisis management and public safety.

The Forum also received a presentation from the Minister of Housing and Urban Development on Land reforms, with emphasis on collaborative effort of the Federal and State governments
A proposed strategic partnership with a Power Grid Company aimed at revitalising electricity distribution through private sector investment is also being considered.
