Nigeria governors say, no state has hoarded any palliative meant for the people.
The clarification is coming on the heels of the impression in the public domain that CA COVID palliatives were being hoarded for political motive.
A statement from the secretariat of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum, NGF, explained that the palliatives in the warehouses are strategic reserves, meant for vulnerable members of the society, ahead of a projected second wave of COVID-19.

The Head, Media and Public Affairs of the Forum, Abdulrazaqe Bello-Barkindo, further says that as at mid-October when the NGF had its last meeting, about ten states had not participated in the flag-off ceremonies for the distribution of the palliative, because items meant for them had not been completely received.
The NGF assures all contributors to the palliatives that prior to the looting of the warehouses, states had kept full accounts of all the items received and distributed.
