The Nigerian government has set up a high-powered team that has six ministers to address issues with Twitter over the ban on micro-blogging site activities in Nigeria.
Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, who will chair the team, announced this in a statement.
Other members of the committee are the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, and the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo.
The statement also said representatives of other relevant government agencies are members.
Following the indefinite suspension of its operations in Nigeria, Twitter is said to have written to President Buhari seeking to engage with the Federal Government over the suspension, with a view to resolving the issue.
