Nigerian Hunters undergo training to enhance effectiveness in securing lives and property

The Nigerian Hunters Council, says it has intensified capacity training for its members with a view to enhancing their effectiveness in securing lives and property in rural communities nationwide.

The Commander General of the Council, Joshua Osatimehin, gave the hint during a four-day Security Summit for Officers and Men of the Nigeria Hunters Council from the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT which held in Abuja.

It was a display of the Nigerian Hunters Council during a four-day National Summit aimed at Improving Internal Security System In Nigeria.

In a message, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Interior, Senator Kazzim Shetima, commented the efforts of the Council in combating insurgency, banditry and other forms of criminalities, especially in the Northern part of the country.

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, said the Nigerian Hunters Council has been very supportive in the fight against insecurity in and around the states.

The Governor assured the council that the Borno State Government will continue to provide necessary logistics support to the Council.

In their messages, a representative of Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Deputy Commandant in charge of Private Security Guard, Chinedu Igboe and Gwagwalada Area Commander of Nigeria Police Force, Zainab Ibrahim who stood in for the FCT Commissioner of police, pledged to continue to collaborate with Nigerian Hunters Council towards protecting lives and property in the country.
