The Benue State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service has initiated moves to repatriate six Egyptians stuck in the state since the suspension of international travel as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Controller Benue State Command, Festus Amareze, made this known to newsmen at the Command’s office in Makurdi, the state capital.
The six Egyptians had long overstayed their welcome but remained stuck in the state as a result of the infectious Coronavirus pandemic as they had no way of leaving due to the international travel ban at the time.
It was, however, expected that once the ban was lifted, they will honorably leave the country but rather they chose to evade the authorities.
The Comptroller further explained that 13 other foreign nationals, whose visas have also expired, seemed to have relocated to neighbouring states.

The Command equally warned against child abuse, labour, or trafficking and advised guardians not to allow their wards who are minors travel unaccompanied.
