Nigerian military kills scores of terrorists

The operations of the Military within the last one week has led to the death of fifty two terrorists, while two hundred and four of them were arrested.

A Statement by the Director, Defence Media operations, Major General Edward Buba says Troops also arrested fifty eight perpetrators of oil theft and rescued two hundred and thirty-four kidnapped hostages.

In the South South, troops denied oil thieves an estimated sum of Six Hundred and Sixty Eight Million, Seven Hundred Thirty One Thousand Naira as potential proceeds from their nefarious activities.

He added that troops also recovered forty six assorted weapons and one hundred and forty eight assorted ammunition.
Others are, thirty four vehicles, sixty four mobile phones, forty seven motorcycles and sum of N1,582,690.00 amongst other items.

Furthermore, Troops in the Niger Delta area destroyed seven dugout pits, twenty five boats, forty seven storage tanks, five vehicles, one hundred and forty one cooking ovens, one pumping machine, one outboard engine, one tricycle, one speedboat, one tugboat and fifty one illegal refining sites.

Troops recovered 267,700 litres of stolen crude oil, 567,700 litres of illegally refined AGO and 5,000 litres of DPK.
