The Nigerian Navy says 26 vessels involved in illegal bunkering and crude oil theft have been arrested in the last one year along the Eastern Maritime Corridors
Also within the year under review, 294 illegal refinery sites were discovered.
Outgoing Flag Officer, Eastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Dewu disclosed the figures while handing over to his successor at the command headquarters in Calabar.

The incoming Flag Officer, Rear Admiral Olusola Oluwagbire said he will curtail maritime crimes, including crude oil theft, which has become prevalent around Nigeria’s coastal areas.
