The Nigerian Navy says it will continue to collaborate effectively with its host communities for
information and intelligence sharing to combat criminal activities on the waters.
The Commanding Officer of Forward Operating Base (FOB) of the Nigerian Navy in igbokoda, Captain Aliyu Usman, stated this while leading officers to offer free medical services to over 2,000 residents of Bolowo community in Ondo South Senatorial District.
Igbokoda community lacks various health facilities and other social amenities hence
the Commanding Officer of Forward Operating Base (FOB) of the Nigerian Navy,in Igbokoda, Captain Aliyu Usman, embarked on the Corporate Social Responsibility tour to improve the health of the people and ensure the safety of the nation’s critical assets, particularly in the oil sector.
Captain Usman assured that the Nigerian Navy will continue to form a cordial relationship with host communities to improve safety of lives and property.
Residents and community leaders commended the Navy’s commitment to improving the healthcare of the people .
The free medical services, include routine check-ups, provision of medication, health education, distribution of insecticide-treated nets, free medicated eye glasses, and administration of vaccines to children.
