Nigerian Police EOD-CBRN Command course 19/22 closing ceremony

No fewer than 205 officers of the Nigerian police force have undergone a four week Explosive ordinance disposal-Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear EOD- CBRN basic training of course 19/2022.

The newly commissioned police personnels have been trained on how to detect and deactivate explosive devices.

The training took place at the police Mobile force training college Ende hills, Nasarawa state.

The Explosive ordinance disposal-chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear EOD- CBRN training which is the first of its kind, mobilized personnel from all states of the federation to be trained on how to detect and deactivate explosive devices.

The Deputy Inspector General of police Bala Senchi who represented the Inspector General of Police said, it is of the Command’s best interest to fight against criminal use of explosives and allied materials in perpetrating heinous crimes, hence the reason for the formation of the EOD-CBRN command.

The commissioner of police, Explosive ordinance disposal-chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear EOD- CBRN, Zannah Shettima said the training is aimed at building the capacity of the newly mobilized personnel to perform improvised explosive device disposal.

In appreciation, the newly trained personnel displayed Some of the skills acquired and promise to make good use of it and help the fight against crime in the country.
