Troops of operation Hadin kai have killed ten Boko Haram Terrorists who attempted an attack on Nigerian Army in Rann the Headquarters of Kala Balge Local Government Area of Borno State.
A statement by the spokesman of the Army, Bridgadier General Mohammed Yerima says terrorists came in their numbers mounted on gun trucks and attempted to infiltrate the main entrance to the town. troops however countered the move and defeated the terrorists who abandoned their mission and took to their heels.

The troops chased the retreating terrorists and ensured there was no further threat to the town and its residents.The Troops successfully destroyed one of the gun trucks and recovered multiple weapons including one anti aircraft gun, two machine guns and eight AK-47 rifles.
This is coming barely hours after the former theatre commander, Major General Faruk Yahaya assumed office as the new Chief of Army Staff.
