Ahead of the 2020 international women’s day celebration, the minister of women affairs and social development, pauline tallen has led groups of women in a rally in abuja calling for a stop to gender based violence, discrimination and sexual assaults in the country.
The women carrying placards with different inscriptins have called for a review of gender based laws in nigeria to accommodate more women in governance.

They also want for more stringent measures to prosecute perpetrators of violence against the vulnearable.
The rally is part of the activities lined up to mark the 2020 international women’s day and it is expected to be held across the 36 states of the federation
