About 256 Nigerians repatriated from Dubai have arrived the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Lagos at about 7.40pm.
The passengers came on board an Emirates B777 aircraft. They were kept in the aircraft for about 30 minutes before disembarking as officials of the Port health, Immigration, FAAN, and other security agencies were on ground to receive them.
Journalists were however not allowed to go near the tarmac as the passengers disembarked.
This is the first batch of Nigerians been repatriated back home as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The flight was earlier diverted back to base as a woman gave birth 60 minutes after the aircraft took off from Dubai.
Meanwhile, luxury buses were on ground at the airport to convey the returnees to the facilities where they will be isolated for 14 days
