Nigerians who want to register for the National Identification Number, NIN, in Kwara State are currently stranded at the state office of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, located on ASA Dam Road in Ilorin, the state capital.
The stranded persons who claimed to have come from various local governments of the State in their large numbers including nursing mothers and the aged are seen flouting the Covid-19 preventive protocols lamenting over poor and slow pace of registration.
Some of the prospective registrants who claimed to have been on the queue since 5 am are pleading with the Federal Government to make the registration easy via their local governments of residence.

They also allege that some of staff of the Commission are extorting money from them ranging from N200 to N500 to facilitate the registration process.
All efforts by ait.live to get the reaction of the State Coordinator of the Commission has proved abortive as he has refused to pick his calls nor respond to SMS.
