As Nigeria prepares for its 61st Independence anniversary celebration, the Guards Brigade says, there will be movement of heavy military equipment into the Federal Capital Territory, FCT and its environs.

A statement by the spokesman, Captain Godfrey Abakpa noted that the equipment will be used during the Independence Day celebrations.
The statement added that the general public is by this notice advised not to panic at the sight of the military equipment, which will be used solely for the independence day parade celebrations.
