Nigeria’s Army Chief Visits Gov. Uzodimma, 34 Artillery Brigade

The Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja has undertaken a working visit to Imo State, South East Nigeria, where he assured of his determination to reduce the challenges confronting personnel at all levels, by continuously supporting the Army formation at 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze.

Lieutenant General Lagbaja gave this commitment during his first official visit as the Army boss to Officers and men of the 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze near Owerri, the Imo state capital.

According to the Army Chief, his visit to the 34 Artillery Brigade which is under the 82 Division, Nigerian Army is focused on assessing troop deployments and addressing challenges faced by them to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.

The Chief of Army Staff had earlier paid a courtesy call on the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma at the Government House, Owerri before proceeding with his operational schedules at the 34 Artillery Brigade, Obinze.

Governor Uzodimma highlighted the efforts of thr Nigerian Army to curb insecurity in the State and the entire South East region, promising that his administration will continue to support the Army Division.

The governor however urged the Army Chief to work in collaboration with other security agencies to ensure that the relative peace being experienced in the South East region is sustained

Uzodimma also used the opportunity to invite the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja to his second term in office inauguration ceremony, coming up on Monday, 15th January 2024.
