Nigeria’s First Lady Flags-off Midwives’ Kit Distribution in South West Region

The wife of Nigeria’s President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has flagged off the distribution of professional kits to Midwives under the Renewed Hope Initiative, with a promise to spread the initiative across the country, and also to Nurses as soon as possible.

While Speaking at the presentation of 10,000 kits made up of Crocs and Scrubs, the Nigerian first Lady said the administration of President Bola Tinubu is moving in the right direction to make healthcare delivery better in the country.

At an event in Akure, the Ondo State capital were government representatives from the six South West States, Medical personnel and other dignitaries for the official presentation of the professional kits for midwives in the region.

Mrs Tinubu used the occasion to reassure Nigerians that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is committed to ensuring that the nation gets better and Nigerians live a better life through investment in the health sector

She said when the right tools and infrastructure are provided there will be reduction in maternal and child mortality and other killer diseases in Nigeria.

Other Speakers including the Minister of Heath, as well as the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa promised to support the first Lady’s initiative to improving the lives of the ordinary Nigerians.

The wife of the President also announced a N50 million business re-capitalization grant for 1,000 petty traders in Ondo State .
