Nigeria’s U-17 Women’s team the Flamengos are already being viewed as title contenders as they confidently beat Ecuador 4-0 to stay top of Group A and advance to the next round of the FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The Flamingos asserted their authority and broke the deadlock when Shakirat Moshood converted after a foul in the Ecuador area.
In the second half, Harmony Chidi scored her first goal of the tournament with a powerful right-footed strike.

A goalkeeping error then allowed Peace Effiong to slot home into an open net before Moshood completed her brace in stoppage time.

But it was Harmony Chidi, the Nigeria striker who got excited on scoring her first World Cup goal.
Chidi said it was joy for her to finally break her personal deadlock after failing to score in the first game, a 4-1 win over New Zealand.
The Nigerian girls face hosts Dominican Republic in their last group match on Wednesday.
