The Nigerian Institute of International Affairs Lagos has called for deeper engagement, clearer understanding, and informed dialogue on solutions that can enhance global peace and security especially at the middle East.
Some distinquished personalities present at the Lecture series called on policy to find lasting solutions to the tensed Middle East region and by extension the rest of the globe
Speaking at the NIIA foreign policy lecture Series in Lagos, the guest lecturer, Professor Sylvester Odion Akhaine said peace in the Middle East depends on Israeli-Palestinian compromise and strong diplomatic efforts.
He traced the conflict to European history and backed the two state solution as the most practical path forward.
The chairman of the event, Professor Adele Jinadu, described the lecture as insightful and historically grounded, providing clear perspectives on how global power imbalances shape the crisis.
Similarly, the Director General of the NIIA, Professor Eghosa Osaghae said the discussion reinforces the importance of inclusive diplomacy as the world evaluates one-state and two-state alternatives.
The foreign policy lecture highlighted the Middle East as a key driver of global instability and stressed that only inclusive diplomacy and renewed international commitment can move the region towards lasting peace.
