The Director General of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies, Abubakar Suleiman says the counter measures being recommended against the resurgence of military coups in Africa, is for the civilian governments through peer review mechanism to ensure good governance and provide for the people what they deserve.
Abubakar who spoke at the 6th capacity building workshop for participants of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic studies, noted that the institute has impacted positively in the business of the legislations, through through its research based findings.
Participants at the event believe the workshop has been very helpful in improving their legislative capacity, especially with the new innovations in digital technology.
The 2-day workshop is among other topics, focusing on upscaling the standard and performance of National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies through evidence based researches.
