Nine lawmakers of the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the Kano State House of Assembly have tendered their defection letters to the Assembly.
This was contained in their respective defection letters addressed to the Speaker, Kano State House of Assembly, notifying it of their defection.
The letters were officially received by the House on Friday and the House wished them well.
In a press release issued by the Director, Press and Public Affairs of the Assembly, Uba Abdullahi,
said the reasons for their defections, as stated by the Members, bordered on the leadership tussle in the PDP, both at the state and national levels.
The Members who defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, from the PDP in the State House of Assembly are; Isyaku Ali Danja – member representing Gezawa Constituency, Umar Musa Gama, Member representing Nassarawa Constituency, Aminu Sa’adu Ungogo, Member representing Ungogo Constituency, Lawan Hussain Chediyar ‘Yan Gurasa, member representing Dala Constituency, Tukur Muhammad, Member representing Fagge Constituency, Mu’azzam El-Yakub, Member, representing Dawakin Kudu Constituency, Garba Shehu Fammar, Member representing Kubiya Constituency, Abubakar Uba Galadima, Member, representing Bebeji Constituency and Mudassir Ibrahim Zawaciki, Member representing Kumbotso Constituency.
