Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR has been named Global Public Relations Association of the Year at the 2025 World Public Relations and Communication Awards.
The awards, organised by the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management, were announced in Lisbon, after a competitive process that drew 89 entries from 19 countries.
Reacting to the announcement, NIPR Acting President, Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, described the award as a major global endorsement of Nigerian professionalism. He said the honour reflects years of reform, strategic direction, and institutional strengthening within the Institute.
He also congratulated the President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Ike Neliaku, praising his leadership for repositioning the Institute both nationally and internationally.
The awards celebrate excellence, innovation, and ethical standards in public relations worldwide.
The trophies will be formally presented at the Global Alliance World Public Relations Forum 2026, scheduled to hold from November 15 to 21 in Abuja.
