Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara

The people of Nkoro ethnic nationality in Opobo-Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State, South-South Nigeria have declared their support for the administration of Governor Sim Fubara for bringing the dividends of democracy to their community for the first time in over a decade.

Their allegiance was made known during the Nkoro Kirika Ethnic Nationality Summit where they also dissociated themselves from other ijaw groups that are publicly supporting those opposed to the administration of Governor Fubara.

Few weeks after the Simplified Movement rounded off its solidarity support in the 23 local government areas, the Nkoro Kirika ethnic nationality in Opobo-Nkoro Local Government Area has assured Governor Fubara of their unalloyed support.

The group said their support for the Governor is firmly rooted because he has succeeded where his predecessor failed in eight years in just his first year in office. This includes the connection of their community to the National Power Grid for the first time.

Some of the Nkoro stakeholders at the summit were very explicit on why they have chosen to publicly declare their unalloyed support for Governor Fubara.

Leader of the Ijaw nation, Pa Edwin Clark was commended for standing firmly behind the administration of Sim Fubara, just as they congratulated the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Victor Oko Jumbo, his deputy Orubienimegha Timothy and other principal officers on their emergence as leaders of the legislative arm of government.
