President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ayuba Wabba has directed workers in the states to reject any form of salary cut in the guise of raising funds to combat the Coronavirus pandemic.
Wabba was speaking at a candle light procession to mark the International Workers Memorial Day.
The Congress observed a minute silence in memory of slain workers around the world.
While labour appreciates thy emergency hazard allowances approved for health workers, it is also pushing to ensure the protection of the jobs and pay of all workers.

With over 40 health workers already infected in Nigeria, labour is hopeful the number will not increase based on the commitment of both the Federal and state governments to provide adequate personal protective equipment
