He said he confidently approached the ATM terminals, after watching a report on National Television which claimed that all ATM terminals are already dispensing the new naira notes.

Ayuba Wabba Said to his displeasure, all the ATMs he visited between the hours of 9:30 PM and 11:30PM friday night were all dispensing the old Naira notes.

Wabba said it is heartbroken for the Nigerian worker to be decieved in such a manner, amidst harsh economic climate, poor , epileptic and expensive electricity supply, fuel scarcity and meagre take home pay.

The NLC President said the CBN is displaying incompetence for not keeping to its words, with regards to the January 13 deadline for all Commercial banks and ATM terminals to start dispensing the new notes.

He called on the CBN Governor, Godwin Emiefele to stop dishing out ill-prepared policies capable of putting struggling workers and citizens against the financial instirurion.

Labour advised the CBN to ensure that the January 31 date fixed to end circulation of old naira notes will be another expensive joke, except and until the redesigned notes are in the hands of Nigerians.
